But how many theme parks are in Orlando? Good question.

According to internet data, there are 4 individual theme parks and 2 water parks. However, most estimates suggest around 8-10 major theme parks in the area. But who counts numbers, man, when each park offers a refreshing sight of their looks? What say? To be honest, I can’t resist listing them down, in fact.

Now what’s included? Well, you have sectors that make you feel like you are in Africa, Asia, and even the fictional lands of Avatar and dinosaurs. Crazy? No? Lightening with my experience, when I first visited, I pictured it as just a zoo, as the name speaks, but I was wrong. They have rides that’ll make your heart race, like Expedition Everest, and ones that’ll leave you in awe, like Avatar Flight of Passage.

But it’s not all about adrenaline; there’s Kilimanjaro Safaris, where you hop on a safari truck and come face-to-face with real-life animals. Plus, the park is all about nature and conservation, so you are not just having fun but also learning. And the food scene? Oh, guys, don’t even get me started. Tiffin’s is top-notch.

2. Universal’s Islands of Adventure – Universal Orlando Resort

Hands down to one of the most fantastic places I have been to, and now you are on the following list. It’s outclassed and totally different. This area allows you to walk into a world where superheroes roam, dinosaurs roar, and glamour is real. Sounds exciting? Yep!

So, what’s up with the attractions? The first stop is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade. You wouldn’t mind to sip Butterbeer while waiting to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey inside Hogwarts Castle? Great!

Then there is Marvel Superhero Island, where you can swing alongside Spider-Man and feel the rush of Dr. Doom’s Fearfall. But wait, it gets even better. You can venture into Jurassic Park and meet with dinosaurs on the River Adventure ride.

Pirates of the Caribbean, where you feel like a swashbuckling pirate, or Peter Pan’s Flight, where you soar over Neverland – seriously, it’s like stepping into a fairy tale.

But keeping it real – Magic Kingdom isn’t perfect. I usually struggle to find good eats and experience a bit everywhere. But honestly, those are just tiny bumps in the road compared to the fun you’ll have here. So, if you’re looking for an action-filled day with smiles, laughs, and maybe a bit of pixie dust, Magic Kingdom is where it’s at. Trust me, it’s worth it for the smiles alone.

6. Hollywood Studios – Walt Disney World Resort

If you’re a movie enthusiast, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando is a dream come true. In fact, it’s in my and my partner’s first list. Being Star Wars fans, we could not wait to explore the launching bay and the rides.

Why should you go here? In short, this park is a paradise for fans of all ages. From the moment you step into the park, you will be greeted by iconic sights like Grauman’s Chinese Theater and the bustling energy of Hollywood. With attractions like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, and iconic rides, I’m pretty sure you can’t hold your excitement as you pilot the Millennium Falcon, brave the thrilling rides like Slinky Dog Dash, and meet Woody and Buzz Lightyear.

Now, some not-so-favored part. The park’s layout can feel scattered with its mix of themes; lines can be long, but never mind, there are still plenty of things to enjoy. Okay, let me take you on a tour of Universal Studios Florida, where another magic of movies comes alive. Compared to other parks, Universal Studios offers excellent value for your money.

The local get me right. Halloween Horror Nights. Every fall, the park transforms into a spooky wonderland with haunted houses and creepy characters. It’s a scream, btw. Nevertheless, there’s much more to explore, from The Simpsons Ride to Despicable Me, amazing things are waiting for you to unplug.

8. LEGOLAND

Nestled in Winter Haven, LEGOLAND is a drive from the main Orlando parks, but worth it. As you enter, you’re greeted with towering LEGO creations and colourful landscapes.

Now, I’m not gonna lie; this place is perfect for the kiddos. The park boasts themed areas like LEGO Kingdoms and Imagination Zone, catering to various interests and age groups. While it may not offer the same thrills as other Orlando parks for older visitors, it’s a hit among families with kids aged 2 to 12. They’ll be entertained for hours with over 20 rides, including the Dragon roller coaster and LEGO Ninjago The Ride. And for the little ones, Duplo Valley is a hit with its splash zone and train rides.

But again, it’s not just for kids – adults can also have a good time, especially admiring the intricate MINILAND USA, where famous cities are recreated entirely in LEGO bricks. Plus, there’s the serene Cypress Gardens to explore, a nice break from the excitement.
